Dr. Padmalaya Nayak is working as a Professor and Head of the Department, CSE/IT, at Gokaraju Lailavathi Engineering College, Hyderabad, under Osmania University, Hyderabad. Prior to that, she was working as a professor in the department of CSE at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, since 2009. She obtained her doctoral degree from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India, in 2010 and her Master's in CSE from the University of Madras in 2002. She has 23 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Ad hoc and Sensor Networks. She has published more than 80 research papers in various peer-reviewed International Journals and Conferences. She has visited many countries to present her research paper at many International Conferences. She has also contributed 7 book chapters, one Indian Patent, and one Australian Patent to her credit. Prof. Nayak is the Editor of three books published by Taylor and Francis. She is the Reviewer of many IEEE/SPRINGER/ELSEVIER Journals and Conferences.
Prof. Nayak has completed many funding projects sponsored by AICTE and UGC. She has received the Young Women Scientist Award from DRDO experts, the 100 Best Professor Award from the World Education Congress, highly cited paper “UILA award” and the Women Excellence Award by ILDC. Moreover, she has received the “Best Researcher Award” for the last 5 consecutive years from GRIET and various Professional bodies for her research contributions in various domain of CSE. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, IETE, CSI, and IEANG professional bodies. She is also a member of the advisory committee and Technical Program Committee for several International Conferences and Professional bodies like IEEE, CSI, IETE, IAENG, etc. Prof. Nayak is the Convenor of an International Conference (ICWSNUCA), proceedings approved by Springer. There are 2 Research Scholars who completed Ph. D. under her guidance and 2 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under her guidance. Her h index is 17, her i10 index is 23, and one thousand five hundred eighty citations to her credit. Her research interest includes Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT Networks, Network Security, AI ML, DL, etc.
